You have to be able to find those little positives in the sea of negative. Then take them and build something better out of them. Show the universe who’s boss. Sometimes horrible shit has to happen today so that tomorrow can be better. Your life is your story, and you have to be the hero. Who else are you rooting for? How boring would videogames be if you were thinking about the impact Link was REALLY making on the universe by finding the boomerang? Are you still stressing over your struggle with the first boss now that you’re in Ganon’s tower? Don’t let that bullshit bother you. What’s making you miserable now won’t mean shit in a year or two. What will matter is what you did with it. The world has been full of assholes since it started, that’s not gonna change. Sometimes the only thing you can change is whether or not you let them get to you. And bad things will always happen to good people no matter how much you try to prevent them. Not saying don’t try to make the world a better place, just saying don’t beat yourself up if it’s still a little shitty after you’ve given it your best. It’ll always be a little shitty. Stop focusing on the shitty part and look for the good part, because it’s there. If you think it’s not, you haven’t grown up yet and I’m sorry for you. It’s your life and they only give you one of those fuckers. What won’t kill you, makes stronger, etc.
